We’ve been doing some work on the range, getting things squared away for the Tactical Carbine class.
We constructed multiple barriers to shoot strong side and off-hand, enabling transitions.
The barriers also allow us to construct hallways, rooms and doorways. All of which help with body mechanics, and muscle memory.
Also important to us is transition work, from rifle to sidearm.
Jack built a lefty rifle. This one is an MOE in black with ARMS folding A2 front sight, and an ARMS pop up rear sight.
We have begun our third generation of gun builds, the .300 Blackout SBR.
The .300 Blackout is a modification of the 300 Whisper. It is designed, principally by Advanced Armament Corporation to replace the 9mm subgun, known as the MP5SD. The 300 BLK caliber features the kinetic energy of a 7.62×39 (AK caliber), but from a 9 inch barrel. Accuracy beyond 200 yards, but in a compact system. Further advantages of the system include the full AR platform adaptability. The 300 BLK uses the same bolt, bolt carrier, upper receiver, lower receiver and all associated parts with the exception of the barrel (which is a .30 caliber). This compact system lends itself well to a suppressed platform with an overall length of less than 30 inches.

Jack built a couple guns today. This one is a Boucan billet receiver, obviously in Flat Dark Earth, Magpul MBUS, Midwest Industries T series 12″ free float rail, Magpul Miad grip, VLTOR E-Mod, Magpul RVG Vertical Grip. And as a gunsmith, he had to polish the sear for good measure…
Jack’s other build today…. Boucan billet receiver, Magpul CTR stock, ERGO suregrip, Midwest Industries Gen II SS Handgaurd, Magpul MBUS.
We will have a private opening Thursday May 17th. Our soft opening is May 21st.
Store opens at 9am, and the range opens at noon during weekdays.
We hope to see you there!
The HVAC people have been hard at work. We may have air moving on the east range by April 27. I’ll keep you in the loop.
I got a handful of photos to check out
It looks like our range will be operational by the beginning of March! We have come a long way. The range is built, the retail floor is going in tonight and the power is about to get turned on.
We really appreciate all the interest and phone calls. We know you can’t wait for the range and store, and neither can we.
We will be open for business for at least a couple of months before we have the official Grand Opening.
For pictures, check out our Facebook page!
Thanks again for all the enthusiasm!
