T r a i n i n g: First Steps (Pistol/Rifle)
First Steps is an National Rifle Association Course meant for those who have limited experience with either rifles or pistols. During the course of three hour classroom portion, we teach:
- Gun Safety, range safety
- Range etiquette.
- How to safely handle a firearms- Load, unload and make a gun safe.
- Technique- grip, stance, trigger control, sight picture, and sight alignment.
- Ammunition.
- Gun maintenance.
The program is open to all ages. We have a strong response from parents wanting their kids to learn about guns. We ask that a parent accompany the child under 18. The parent does not have to pay for the class when attending for supervision.
It is important to know that this class certifies the student. This certification allows an individual to obtain a CONCEALED WEAPON PERMIT.
I like to think of this class as a long and thorough supervised range visit.
I highly recommend this class to any one who is curious about guns and desires to have the one on one instruction it allows.
